Haryana RERA directs Landmark & Parsvnath to appear before the authority

GURUGRAM: Taking serious note of several complaints filed by the homebuyers, the Haryana Real Estate Regulatory Authority (H-Rera) has directed two developers to appear before the authority with requisite documents and explanation at the earliest.

While Landmark Developers allegedly offered possession without obtaining the occupancy certificate (OC) from the DTCP, Parsvnath Hessa Developers failed to pay delayed possession charges (DPC) for the lapse of 11 years from the date of promised delivery, buyers complained.

H-Rera chairman Khandelwal said the authority on Friday took cognizance of various complaints filed by different allottees of the projects being developed by the two developers.

Hearing the pleas of a number of allottees who had filed several complaints against Landmark, the regulatory body observed that a memorandum of understanding was executed between both the parties regarding assured returns, but no such returns have been made by the promoter.

“It was also observed that the intimation of possession was made by the promoter in 2015 without obtaining OC, which was obtained much later in the year 2018,” Khandelwal said.

Landmark has been asked to appear before H-Rera to give justification of the demands raised by them towards increase in the super area of the project without getting revised building plan approved from the competent authority. In the complaints against Parsvnath, the Authority has ordered the respondent to pay DPC.
