Gurugram revenue department to train staff for e-appointment of land registry

GURUGRAM: A week after Haryana revenue department resumed land registries, the district revenue department is all set to train its staff for the process of e-appointment. The registries were resumed on September 1 after a gap of 40 days following several complaints on illegal registries in the state.

The training programme will be held on Wednesday at 11am in mini secretariat. Registrars, sub-registrars, computer operators, junior programmers and other staff of the revenue offices of tehsils will undergo the training, officials said.

“It is a new procedure for which the staff needs training, which will be imparted by the district information officer. The staff do not have proper knowledge for e-appointments. Our document writers and computer operators will also be trained,” said Basti Ram, district revenue officer.

“We have witnessed less number of registries since the reopening. Four tokens for appointment were issued today (Tuesday) in Gurugram tehsil and these are for registries in Palam Vihar area. These registries will be done on Wednesday. This number would increase once the staff is trained,” added Ram.

To seek e-appointment, the buyer will have to first login to jamabandi.nic.in, which takes the buyer to the web portal of the state’s land record documents.

Moreover, a no-objection certificate is also required at the time of registry. The transformed system works as per the new Haryana Land Records Information System (HALRIS) under which a buyer has to first get a no-objection certificate online from the DTCP.
