Gurugram: Buildings granted OCs in past four months to be checked for violations

GURUGRAM: All residential buildings, granted occupation certificates (OCs) since October last year, will be checked for any building violations. The buildings which are found with unauthorised construction after procuring OC will face strict action.

The department of town and country planning (DTCP) has directed its enforcement team to conduct visits and submit status report on all such buildings.

“We have constituted four new teams to check rampant unauthorised construction and alterations carried out in residential buildings after the grant of OC. Post submission of status report on February 28, the department will initiate action against the violators,” said district town planner (enforcement) RS Batth.

These teams, led by junior engineers, will inspect sites after the grant of OC — first within 30
days and submit their report to the department. During lockdown, while the department was
busy with other duties, the property owners carried out additional construction in violation of the
norms, officials said.
