Greater Noida: Town Park Buildcon served notice over illegal constructions and shops in society

NOIDA: The Greater Noida Industrial Development Authority (GNIDA) has issued a notice to the developers of White Orchid society in Gaur City 2, Sector 16C, for alleged illegal constructions in two
flats and unauthorized commercial activities.
The authority has directed the developer to immediately halt the unauthorized construction and
commercial activities and submit a written clarification regarding the matter.
Failure to provide an explanation within the stipulated time will be considered as a violation of the
Authority’s rules, leading to the assumption that the builder has no response. In such a case, legal action
will be taken against the builder in accordance with the rules,” read GNIDA’s notice issued on June 26
that was served to the builder.

After receiving a complaint from a resident, the Authority’s mobile squad conducted an inspection of the
site, confirming the presence of unauthorized construction and commercial activities in two flats on the
first floor of Tower 2 in the society.
The squad’s report highlighted that a shop below the two adjacent flats had been connected to them
through an iron staircase, which had been created by cutting the roof of the shop. The report also verified
that both flats had been combined and the staircase was found to be locked in a cabin. The unauthorized
shops were constructed by the builders on the green area to the left of the commercial shop.

Dheeraj Ratwal, who owns a shop adjacent to this alleged illegal construction, said that the flat had been
sold about a year ago to an individual who subsequently conducted the illegal activities.
Rakesh Sharma, director, Town Park Buildcon Pvt Ltd, which developed the society, declined to comment
on the matter.
The owners of the flats where the unauthorized commercial activities were taking also did not respond to
calls
