Greater Noida: Residential sectors get Rs 61 crore for upkeep

GREATER NOIDA: The Greater Noida Industrial Development Authority (GNIDA) has allotted 31 tenders amounting to Rs 61 crore for the development and maintenance work in residential sectors and villages.

The tenders include maintenance and distribution of water pipeline, work of RCC roads and construction of drain on the 80-metre-wide Kasna road, construction and demolition (C&D) plant, interlocking tiles, crematorium, etc. These works will be carried out across over 25 sectors and over a dozen villages in Greater Noida.

After passing a budget of Rs 4,398 crore in its 122nd board meeting last week, this is the first allocation of budget by GNIDA for development and maintenance work across residential sectors and villages.

“With the aim to improve the water supply system, GNIDA has floated tenders across zones 2, 3 and 4 where work of about Rs 7.74 crore will be done. These include pipeline distribution work under zone 2, which caters to sectors Pi 1-8, Chi 3 and 4, Phi 3 and 4, IT city, Bhagmalpuram and Ecotech 6 and 7. Under zone 3, work will be done across sectors 32, 33, 36, 37, Pi-1 and 2 and Sigma 1, 2, 3, 4. Zone 4 will cater to sectors Eta-1 and 2, Omicron-1, 1A, 2, 3, XU 1-3 and Mu 1-2.
