Gurugram: Dhoot Sare buyers yet to get flats, protest

GURUGRAM: Dhoot Sare distressed homebuyers (DSDHB) association held a protest against KGK –
Dhoot company in Sector 92 on Sunday demanding immediate possession of their houses. As many as 50
homebuyers with placards gathered raising their demands.
The association said at least 471 buyers of SARE Homes could not claim their flats because they were
allegedly not informed about the filing process by KGK-Dhoot and Interim Resolution Professional
(IRP).
According to protesters, a consortium of KGK Realty and Dhoot Infrastructure Projects acquired Sare
Gurugram Private Limited, a unit of Sare Homes, in 2021 via the insolvency and bankruptcy code (IBC)
route and agreed to complete construction of a township that had 1,699 home owners awaiting delivery of their flats.

“After the Sare Homes in Sector 92 was declared bankrupt, KGK-Dhoot company grabbed the flats of
more than 250 allottees,” said professor Anajana Anand, a buyer.
She also said that all creditors and homebuyers were supposed to file their claims in the National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT) but only 1,204 homebuyers were able to file the claims on time in 2021 during the pandemic. Another homebuyer, Mukul Anand (46), a businessman, said, “The IRP failed to notify all buyers about the claims filing process with the National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT) despite having emails, phone numbers and addresses of all the buyers.”

However, insolvency professional Ajit Jain denied the allegations and claimed that the entire process has
been done in a fair manner, by giving extra time to the homebuyers, in accordance with the orders and
rules of the court.
“I’m a Ramprastha Sare Homes buyer and have paid 98% of the total amount and got a confirmation by
the builders for possession in 2018. But I never received any information for a claim during the
lockdown,” said Permanad Rao, buyer.
Customer relationship manager of the builder Prashant assured the buyers that their concerns will be taken up with the management. The builder did not respond to TOI’s queries.
